Basketball Recap: Waldport Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santiam, Waldport was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They managed a 51-45 victory over the Myrtle Point Bobcats. The win was some much needed relief for the Irish as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Waldport's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Myrtle Point, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waldport will challenge Reedsport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Reedsport will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Waldport surely won't give up without a fight. As for Myrtle Point, they will face off against East Linn Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
