Soccer Recap: Granite Bay Takes a Loss

Granite Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newport Harbor Sailors.

Granite Bay's goal came courtesy of Camryn Savig, which was the first she's scored this season.

Granite Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Newport Harbor, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2-3.

Granite Bay wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Folsom on the 7th. As for Newport Harbor, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Edison on the 7th.
