Football Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Saugerties Sawyers and fell 35-6. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Saugerties, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will challenge Port Jervis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Saugerties, they will face off against Red Hook at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
