Basketball Recap: CSTHEA Patriots vs. Apostolic Christian

In what's become a running theme this season, the CSTHEA Patriots gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Apostolic Christian 75-37 at home. The victory was nothing new for CSTHEA as they're now sitting on five straight.

Leading CSTHEA to victory were Mason Deschaine and Jonathan Swanson. Deschaine scored 23 points along with four steals, while Swanson scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Swanson hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Ryan Swanson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.

Apostolic Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rogan Bailey, who scored 17 points, and Brady Wilson who scored 13 points. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played.

CSTHEA has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-15 record this season. As for Apostolic Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CSTHEA will face off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rocket City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. Apostolic Christian is on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Royal Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Tennessee (Temple Baptist Academy is ranked 380th, while the are ranked 390th).
