Basketball Game Preview: Lewis Central Titans vs. Atlantic Trojans

The Lewis Central Titans and the Atlantic Trojans will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Tuesday, Lewis Central came up short against Norwalk and fell 67-54. The Titans have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Atlantic scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a blow against Kuemper, falling 94-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (62), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

With the loss, Atlantic broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Lewis Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Lewis Central against Atlantic in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 77-41 win. Will Lewis Central repeat their success, or does Atlantic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
