Softball Preview: Chatham Charter Knights vs. Cornerstone Charter Cardinals
The Chatham Charter Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chatham Charter will be strutting in after a victory while Cornerstone Charter will be coming in after a defeat.
Chatham Charter took a loss when they played away from home on April 4th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Northwood as they made off with an 11-3 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Cornerstone Charter and Leadership Academy, and Leadership Academy kept the tradition alive. The Cardinals took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons last Wednesday.
Evelyn Croatt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Delaney Hollern was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
