Football Recap: Chico Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jake Detmer and Shamar Riley + How To Watch

Chico lost against Red Bluff back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers took a 31-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this game were averaging 14.8 points allowed.

Chico's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Shamar Riley, who gained 113 total yards, and Jake Detmer, who threw for 123 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes.

Chico's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Red Bluff, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Chico will welcome Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Red Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
