Lincoln-Way East has gone 9-1 against Stagg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lincoln-Way East Griffins are taking a road trip to challenge the Stagg Chargers at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln-Way East has five straight victories, Stagg has 24 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Saturday, Lincoln-Way East was able to grind out a solid win over Thornton Fractional South, taking the game 69-61. Given the Griffins' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Red Wolves are ranked 288th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Stagg lost 67-41 to St. Patrick on Sunday.

Lincoln-Way East is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Stagg, their loss dropped their record down to 0-23.

Lincoln-Way East beat Stagg 60-50 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln-Way East since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
