Basketball Game Preview: Carolina Forest Panthers vs. Conway Tigers

Carolina Forest hasn't had much luck against Conway recently, but that could start to change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Carolina Forest Panthers take on the Conway Tigers at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, Carolina Forest ended up a good deal behind Myrtle Beach and lost 55-38. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Conway faced Orangeburg-Wilkinson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Conway sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on six straight.

Conway's win came from a few key players Carolina Forest will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tramaine Hunter, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javion Crawford, who had eight points.

Conway has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Carolina Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.

Carolina Forest came up short against Conway in their previous meeting on January 4th, falling 58-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Conway's Trevon Johnson, who went 7 for 13 en route to 17 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
