Basketball Recap: New Buffalo Comes Up Short

New Buffalo lost against Brandywine back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The New Buffalo Bison were dealt a 75-47 defeat at the hands of the Brandywine Bobcats.

When it comes to explaining why New Buffalo lost, don't look at Lucas Forker. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds. M'Nason Smothers was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points along with eight boards and three blocks.

New Buffalo's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Brandywine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing River Valley the next time they take the court. New Buffalo will host River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Brandywine will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
