Basketball Game Preview: Electra Tigers vs. Woodson Cowboys

The Electra Tigers and the Woodson Cowboys will face off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Electra is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Guthrie: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Electra blew Guthrie out of the water with a 71-32 final score. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Woodson). They managed a 63-59 win over Prairie Valley on Friday.

Woodson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Electra, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Electra was able to grind out a solid win over Woodson in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 51-44. Does Electra have another victory up their sleeve, or will Woodson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
