Soccer Recap: Lucerne Valley Takes a Loss

Lucerne Valley managed to keep up with Barstow until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lucerne Valley Mustangs came up short against the Barstow Aztecs, falling 4-0. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: the Mustangs' Jacob Palmerin and the Aztecs' Osvaldo Ponce Sosa and Drake Stewart were all carded.

Lucerne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Barstow, they pushed their record up to 5-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Lucerne Valley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Yucca Valley on the 11th. Barstow has also already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Serrano on the 11th.
