It was a good run, but Lake Forest Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the New Trier Trevians, falling 5-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lake Forest Academy of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Lake Forest Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-7-2. As for New Trier, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5-2 record this season.
