John Hardin proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 32) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Taylor County Cardinals 30-28. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 15-0 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2018.

John Hardin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.0 points over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Taylor County fell to 7-1.
