Baseball Recap: Fleming Takes a Loss

Fleming was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Staunton River Golden Eagles, falling 16-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Thursday.

Fleming's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Staunton River, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fleming is set to face off against their familiar foe William Byrd at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Staunton River will challenge rival Lord Botetourt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
