Baseball Recap: Rancho Bernardo Takes a Loss

Rancho Bernardo made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Point Loma, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Broncos fell just short of the Pointers by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pointers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 back in March.

Caden Dockan was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

The defeat snapped Rancho Bernardo's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 18-13 record. As for Point Loma, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-12-1.

As of now, neither Rancho Bernardo nor the Pointers have any future games scheduled.
