Football Preview: Myrtle Beach Seahawks vs. Sumter Gamecocks
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks will head out on the road to square off against the Sumter Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Myrtle Beach came up short against West Florence and fell 32-22.

Sumter relied on the efforts of John Peeples, who rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns, and Franklin Richardson, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Sumter wouldn't let White Knoll keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Jb Burson, Tymaries Thompson Durant, and Jamarkus Mccutcheon picked up one apiece. Thompson Durant's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception. Another thorn in White Knoll's side was Anthony Addison, who made 14 total tackles (1.5 for loss).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sumter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 335 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since was before the start of last season.
Myrtle Beach's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Sumter, their record is now 2-0.
