Baseball Recap: Mississinewa Snaps Ten-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Mississinewa managed to slip by Jay County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Indians lost 14-0 to the Patriots on Saturday. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 9-8.

Mississinewa's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Jay County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mississinewa will welcome Southern Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Jay County, they will face off against Coldwater at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
