Softball Recap: Pelion Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Batesburg-Leesville, Pelion was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 13-9 win over the Ninety Six Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in March, they had to take a 6-1 loss.

Savanna Padgett was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexia Hansen, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

The victory got Pelion back to even at 9-9. As for Ninety Six, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pelion will take on rival American Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ninety Six is set to face off against their familiar foe Strom Thurmond at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
