Football Recap: Lucas Takes a Loss

While it was Lucas who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Danville who put up more. The Cubs took a 26-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cubs of the 27-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2022.

Cyren Wallace went supernova For Danville., rushing for 203 yards on only 15 carries. Wallace showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 56 yards.

Lucas now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Danville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Lucas will face off against Vanlue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Danville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mt. Gilead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Blue Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
