Basketball Game Preview: Sunrise Mountain Mustangs vs. McClintock Chargers

The Sunrise Mountain Mustangs will take on the McClintock Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Sunrise Mountain heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Tuesday. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of O'Connor. The Mustangs have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Meanwhile, McClintock had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They really took it to the Bobcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-23 victory. With the Chargers ahead 43-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

McClintock's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points over those games. As for Sunrise Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-5.
