Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

The Jefferson Yellowjackets came up short against the Des Moines North Polar Bears on Friday and fell 38-26. While the Yellowjackets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Polar Bears 12-6 in the first quarter.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Des Moines North, they moved to 2-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson will head out to face off against Des Moines East at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Des Moines North, they will square off against Marshalltown at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
