Baseball Game Preview: Wayne Academy Jaguars vs. Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders

The Wayne Academy Jaguars will head out on the road to challenge the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Wayne Academy lost 13-1 to Lamar on Friday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wayne Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Lowery, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Lowery's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Park Place Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against East Rankin Academy, falling 11-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Crusaders were not able to get on the board.

Park Place Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Wayne Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Wayne Academy took their victory against Park Place Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2015 by a conclusive 9-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wayne Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
