Football Game Preview: Pawnee Black Bears vs. Nowata Ironmen

The Pawnee Black Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Nowata Ironmen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pawnee's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

Pawnee is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Quapaw 72-23 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Black Bears in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Nowata was beaten by Morrison 56-18 last Friday. The Ironmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nowata's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pawnee, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything went Pawnee's way against Nowata when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Pawnee made off with a 26-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Black Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
