Basketball Recap: Hicks Drops Highest Score of Season Against Lacassine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hicks). They secured a 67-62 W over the Lacassine Cardinals on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hicks to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayde Wilbanks, who posted 14 points. Wilbanks continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Abby Addison was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Hicks' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Lacassine, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Hicks wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-39 defeat against Simpson on the 8th. As for Lacassine, they have also already played their next game, a 67-51 victory against Florien on the 8th.
