With a playoff win on the line, Nazareth Academy rose to the challenge on Monday. They never let the Villa Joseph Marie Jems get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Nazareth Academy was shut out 7-0 the last time they took on Villa Joseph Marie, so Nazareth Academy was just returning the favor.

Jill DiMario made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
