Volleyball Recap: Gorham Fayette Comes Up Short

Gorham Fayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Pettisville Blackbirds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blackbirds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-8.

Kennedy Kunkle paced Gorham Fayette's offense, picking up four kills. Kunkle got some help from Kelsie Storrs and her nine assists. Kunkle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Pettisville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Becca Strauss out in front who had seven digs and three aces.

Gorham Fayette's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Pettisville, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Gorham Fayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pettisville, they will face off against Hilltop at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
