Softball Recap: Sierra Vista Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Sierra Vista entered their tilt with Nogales on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Nogales Nobles get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Dons also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Aleena Mora was incredible, scoring three runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Ariana Gutierrez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Sierra Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .553 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Sierra Vista's record now sits at 5-3. As for Nogales, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Vista will host Edgewood at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nogales, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Azusa at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Nogales is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
