Football Game Preview: Edisto Cougars vs. Whale Branch Warriors

The Edisto Cougars will face off against the Whale Branch Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Edisto's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Hampton County on Friday. They were beaten by the Hurricanes 43-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Hurricanes: they've now lost eight in a row.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Whale Branch and Battery Creek, and Battery Creek kept the tradition alive. The Warriors took a hard 28-14 fall against the Dolphins last Friday.

Edisto will have to contain Jermon Bowers as he made an impact in Whale Branch's last game. He rushed for 45 yards and one score, and also threw for 13 yards and one touchdown.

Edisto's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Whale Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
