Basketball Recap: Christ Covenant Skates Past Community Christian with Ease

Christ Covenant had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Community Christian Cyclones 51-19. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Christ Covenant's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Community Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coincidentally, Christ Covenant and Community Christian will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. Christ Covenant will head out to face Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Community Christian will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
