Softball Game Preview: Churubusco Eagles vs. Angola Hornets

The Churubusco Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Angola Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Churubusco is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 tie.

Meanwhile, Angola came up short against Adams Central on Saturday and fell 13-9.

Churubusco's draw makes their record 15-7-1 this season. As for Angola, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Churubusco was able to grind out a solid win over Angola in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 7-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
