Manzano barely beat Santa Fe the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Monarchs were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over the Demons on Wednesday. The game marked the Monarchs' most dominant win of the season.

Landon Stewart and Bodey Ethridge did most of the damage at the plate: Stewart went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Ethridge went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Aljaris Pineda was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Manzano hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Fe struck out eight times.

Manzano's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 9-12. As for Santa Fe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
