Basketball Recap: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. Westwood Warriors

The Mesa Jackrabbits entered their tilt with the Westwood Warriors with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Mesa simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Warriors 55-19 on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-5.

McKy Peters had an outrageously good game as he almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ray Angulo, who scored seven points.

Mesa has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Westwood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-19.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesa will take on the Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Westwood, they will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dobson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Arizona (the Mustangs are ranked 91st, while the Warriors are ranked 212th).
