Volleyball Recap: Jayda Phasakda Key Part of Team Effort in Timberwolves Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Clovis West, Clovis East was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Santa Barbara Dons.

Clovis East never let Santa Barbara on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clovis East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayda Phasakda, who had 17 assists and seven digs. That's the most assists Phasakda has posted over her last 11 matches. Allyson Rich was another key player, getting seven digs and five aces.

Clovis East now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Santa Barbara, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Clovis East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Buchanan on the 26th. As for Santa Barbara, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Dos Pueblos on the 26th.
