Soccer Game Preview: Lake Havasu vs. Willow Canyon

The Lake Havasu Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Willow Canyon Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Havasu will be strutting in after a victory while Willow Canyon will be coming in after a loss.

Lake Havasu took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Kellis as Lake Havasu made off with a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Kellis from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kaden Maple led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Willow Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to Sunrise Mountain. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Wildcats struggled afterwards.

The victory snapped Lake Havasu's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-8 record. As for Willow Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Everything went Lake Havasu's way against Willow Canyon in their previous meeting back in January of 2016, as Lake Havasu made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Havasu since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
