Preview: Pleasantville vs. Gloucester Catholic

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Gloucester Catholic should expect quite the challenge on Saturday. They will be defending their home turf for the first time when they go up against Pleasantville at 11:00 AM. If the game is anything like the 40-66 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.

Gloucester Catholic have to be hurting after a devastating 6-36 defeat at the hands of Collingswood last Friday. Senior Conor Regan and junior Dashaun Harris were two go-getters for Gloucester Catholic despite the defeat. The former passed for 226 yards and 1 touchdown, while the latter caught passes for 100 yards and picked up 46 yards on the ground. Harris has been a consistent playmaker for Gloucester Catholic as this was the 4th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the matchup between Pleasantville and Cedar Creek was still a pretty decisive one as Pleasantville wrapped it up with a 38-22 win.

Pleasantville's victory lifted them to 4-1 while Gloucester Catholic's loss dropped them down to 0-4. In their victory, Pleasantville relied heavily on senior Mohamed Toure, who rushed for 82 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gloucester Catholic will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
