Baseball Recap: Taft Takes a Loss

Taft was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harlan Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-6 last Tuesday.

Taft saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was PEYTON ROGERS, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. ELIJAH BARRERA was another, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Harlan, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Taft will venture away from home to square off against Brennan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harlan, they will face off against San Marcos at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday.
