Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty suffered their closest loss since November 20, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Brashier Middle College Charter Bengal by a score of 41-39. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bengal earlier this season, when they won 42-25.

Despite the defeat, Liberty saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Natalie White posted 16 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Henderson, who went 5 of 6 en route to 11 points and six boards.

Liberty has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Brashier Middle College Charter, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Looking ahead, Liberty will welcome Chesnee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brashier Middle College Charter, they will venture away from home to face off against Greer Middle College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
