Basketball Recap: Windthorst Takes a Loss

Windthorst lost against Seymour back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Windthorst Trojans took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seymour Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 719th, while the Panthers are ranked 272nd).

Windthorst's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-8. As for Seymour, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.

Windthorst will venture away from home to take on Archer City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seymour, they will welcome Petrolia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
