Basketball Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Tippecanoe Valley Vikings

The Fairfield Falcons will take on the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Fairfield strolled past West Noble with points to spare, taking the game 47-29. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Chargers are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Tippecanoe Valley had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on West Noble with a sharp 40-19 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings who have now won four games in a row.

Tippecanoe Valley has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Fairfield, their win bumped their record up to 17-6.

Fairfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Tippecanoe Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 54-43. Will Fairfield repeat their success, or does Tippecanoe Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
