Baseball Recap: Whitney Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whitney can now relate to. They came up short against the Huntington Red Devils on Saturday, falling 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 14, 2024.

Whitney has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season. As for Huntington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 30-7-1.

Whitney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Huntington, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against the Wildcats on the 24th.
