Baseball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 16-1 to the Marshall Barristers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Barristers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 last Wednesday.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Marshall, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Lincoln will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Franklin at 3:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Marshall, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against South Gate on the 12th.
