Softball Recap: Valley Oaks CES Takes a Loss

Valley Oaks CES extended their losing streak to five on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-8 in the process. They lost 21-9 to the Discovery Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 27-2 back in March.

As for Discovery, their record is now 5-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 12 runs or more this season.

For Discovery's part, they got a massive performance out of Pamela Quiroz, who went 4-for-5 with four runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Britany Arellano, who got on base in four of her seven plate appearances with four runs.

Looking ahead, Valley Oaks CES will head out on the road to take on Sun Valley Magnet at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vanguards will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least ten runs in their last five games. As for Discovery, they will welcome Community Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
