Basketball Recap: East Wake Academy Comes Up Short

East Wake Academy lost against American Leadership Academy-Johnston two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The East Wake Academy Eagles took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots.

East Wake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.

East Wake Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Franklin Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fletcher Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
