Preview: University Titans vs. Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs

The University Titans will head out on the road to challenge the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. University has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11.

University suffered their biggest loss since December 28, 2023 on Thursday. They suffered a tough 70-46 loss at the hands of Father Lopez. While losing is never fun, University can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 603rd, while Father Lopez is ranked 215th).

Despite the defeat, University had strong showings from Aidon Amoah, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Ernie Centeno, who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Centeno has scored all season.

Even though they lost, University were working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their 11th loss (out of 12 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Flagler Palm Coast pushed their score all the way to 62 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Atlantic 68-62. Flagler Palm Coast has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

University's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-17. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

University skirted past Flagler Palm Coast 50-48 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for University since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
