Newton won the last time they faced Grayville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Bison by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Newton easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14.

Newton's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Grayville, they dropped their record down to 13-18 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Newton and Grayville will both be playing Carterville the next time they take the court. The Bison will head out to face the Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
