Basketball Recap: Indian River Comes Up Short

Indian River was the 64-37 winner over Fulton when they last played one another back in February of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves took a 53-35 bruising from the Red Raiders on Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Indian River lost, don't look at Sophie Walsh. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Angie Kenzior was another key player, putting up five points and ten rebounds.

Indian River's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fulton, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Indian River won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Christian Brothers Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fulton, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on West Genesee at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
