Softball Recap: Western Tech & Environmental Science Comes Up Short

Western Tech & Environmental Science lost against Carver A&T back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolverines lost 21-12 to the Wildcats. While the Wolverines didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 12-2 in the first period.

Western Tech & Environmental Science saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Durham, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and two RBI. Durham has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Western Tech & Environmental Science's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Carver A&T, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Western Tech & Environmental Science and Carver A&T will both be playing Catonsville the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will head out to face the Comets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
