Volleyball Recap: New Diana Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Union Grove on Tuesday, New Diana came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Central Heights Blue Devils on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

While New Diana was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Central Heights' winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-19.

Taryn Reece paced New Diana's offense, picking up six kills. Reece got some help from Ava Smith and her nine assists.

New Diana's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Central Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 26-5 record this season.

New Diana will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:00 p.m. As for Central Heights, they will challenge Lufkin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
