Basketball Recap: Isaiah Montoya Key Part of a Team Effort in Grizzlies Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sanford, Fowler was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 42-32 win over the Center Vikings. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-31 back in December of 2024.

Fowler's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Montoya led the charge by going 7 for 15 en route to 20 points. Cael True was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Fowler has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Center, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fowler will face off against Hoehne at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hoehne is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season. As for Center, they will square off against Sargent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
